TLC is a student advisory program that provides instruction to middle school students as they navigate the peaks and valleys of the early teenage years. The lessons are adapted from a program called Top Twenty Teens: Discovering the Best-Kept Thinking, Learning, and Communicating Secrets of Successful Teenagers. This program was developed by teachers in Minnesota. After training for this program was received, it has been revised to meet the needs of the IC student body. Lessons include our school's anti bully campaign, recognizing mood and its impact on decision on making, developing organizational skills, and developing listening skills; to name just a few. Through the years of teaching TLC many students have succeeded in areas where they once struggled.
